"I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept."

Angela Davis

Erin Hodge-Williams, LCSW-C

I became a social worker due in a large part because of the things I could not accept. Today, as a therapist with a private practice, I focus on helping teens and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. Before I became a therapist, I worked in advocacy and social change. My 30 years of experience have shaped my commitment to addressing issues around women and health and promoting the power of collective action. This ultimately led me to launch Time for Women.

My inspiration also comes from personal experiences. My family and I have faced significant losses and ongoing health challenges, navigating complicated medical systems. These experiences taught me that raising awareness and advocating for oneself isn’t just personal; it’s a community responsibility.

Time for Women is more than just a passion project—it’s a response to the societal taboos surrounding women's health and aging. With this initiative, we aim to create a safe space where women can learn, share, and openly discuss topics like health, aging, connection, and the importance of taking acting.

I am incredibly grateful for the numerous women who have helped shape and form this initiative since its launch. Special thanks to Tracy Gosson, a longtime friend, marketing guru, and the inspiration for me to turn almost two decades of dreaming into an actual project and who also presented at the inaugural Time for Women. I am also thankful to Nicole Hunter, a friend, entrepreneur, supporter and guide. Both strong women stepped up and agreed to be my advisors right out of the gate.
